Noblit Farms & Breezy Hollow Boer Goats

Breeding Black, Red, Paint & Trad. Boer Goats

Welcome to our website!  We are Andrew, Anna, Austin (10), Ashton (6) and Ayden (2).  Our focus is on the COLORED BOERS, all of which are registered fullbloods.  We have 3 breeding bucks and 13 breeding does.

We've been raising Boer Goats since February 2005, when we started our herd with 6 unregistered percentages and 2 Pygmies.  Our herd is now comprised of all Fullbloods & the herd's been a closed herd since 2007.  We are a forage-based "operation" with grain only being given at times to check for parasites, hooves, etc.  Our goats are very healthy and hardy.  We've worked long and hard to get a herd like this & are really excited to move forward with them.  I am a firm believer of honesty & will always do right for past & future customers.  We are always willing to help out if anyone has problems with their goats or any general questions you may have, whether you plan to buy from us or not.

WE'VE HAD MANY VERY WONDERFUL COMPLIMENTS ON HOW GREAT OUR GOATS LOOK AND MANY CANNOT BELIEVE THEY ARE GRASS FED.  COME SEE FOR YOURSELF!  I LOVE VISITORS AND TALKING GOAT---AW HECK--ANIMALS IN GENERAL!

We've also started a Beef herd of cattle & it's comprised mainly of Simmental's.  New pics need to be taken of our girls.  We have 1 steer, a Simmental/Hereford X that we purchased to raise for butchering.  They, again, are ALL grass fed.  All will be started/finished on grass!  This produces very tasty, lean meat w/nice marbeling.  Not much fat to clog your arteries!  Our girls are comprised of Colleen, who is 50% Red Angus & 50% Red Simmental.  She is sired by Bieber Virile.  Nina, Colleen's daughter, was born 10/26/08 and is solid red.  She is sired by Winchester (we're very excited about this!).  She is 75% Red Simmental & 25% Red Angus.  Molly is a solid black full Simmental heifer.  She was the scroungiest looking girl in the bunch and my husband took pity on her and brought her home.  She has grown quite nicely and we're glad we gave her a chance at life.  She's got quite the personality! And lastly, we were given an awesome opportunity to purchase a red purebred Simmental bull sired by Dream On!  He will be a year old on 2/25/10.  He has a really great temperment and we're really excited to see the offspring he produces with our girls!  Thank you to Laurie Fantom of Powell's Valley Simmentals for working with us and giving us this opportunity!

We also raise:  ducks (for fun) and free range chickens (Buff Orpingtons, Americauna's, Red Star's, Frizzle Cochins, Silkies, Mille Fleur's & some mixes) which produce very nice eggs!  Did you know that a fertilized egg is lower in cholesterol than an unfertilized egg?  HONEST!  For those that are grossed out by that, eggs need to be incubated at a temp. of 98-101 degrees for 21 days in order to hatch out a chick.  As long as eggs are collected daily (multiple times daily if you have hens going broody {meaning that they want to set on eggs}), you will have delicious eggs!  I've also been told that the dark yellow to orange colored yolks are great for baking as they add alot of color to the "product".

We've also added some Guinea Fowl to our farm!  This is the first year that we have NOT had Japanese Beetles!  These crazy birds eat NON-STOP!  We hatched them in the incubator & raised them in the barn, so now they always stick right here at home!

I really believe that if you were providing a service to someone, you should demand and deserve respect for that service.  That said, our animals (all of them) are treated with the respect THEY deserve!  They all provide a service of some sort to us and, in turn, they are treated very well.  In fact, I'm sure our animals (even the chickens) get treated better than some humans do  :)     With that all said, you will definitely find some very healthy and happy animals here on the farm.

We're really into "different", so I'm sure we'll be adding more neat "stuff" to our farm!
