What you said about the Dairy Farmers are so true. We live and work on a Dairy farm, its family owned and these milk prices are freaking crazy. Where getting paid the same amount as back in the 1970's. This world has gone down hill. People need to get there heads out of there buns and get a grip on reality.

Annemarie, Great Pyrs are bad for getting out. I have a pure Karakachan male who knows his place is with the goats. My female, who is 50/50 gets out alot. At this time, she is tied. The pups have been in the pasture with the goats, not since birth, but for about a month now. They are 11 weeks old, and have come to respect electric fencing. As long as they are put directly in with your livestock when they arrive at their new home, they should stay in your fencing. But, if they are socialized, just a little bit, you will have a difficult time with them. I'm glad the pups have more Karakachan in them than Great Pyr! I honestly couldn't tell you which is better. My female was socialized too much when we brought her home & it has caused a tremendous amount of issues, esp now that she's had the pups. I guess, if I had to choose, I would take a male over a female. Please call me @ 717-443-5760 if you have any other questions. I'd be happy to speak with you!

Could you please tell about the pups. We have 2 great pyrenese and they are always getting out, climbing over fence. How are this type of dogs in getting over fences? Could you also tell me if you think males or female is better? We have 2 males now.
Thank you
Annemarie
