Meet Molly. She is a full Simmental heifer. We purchased her from a beef producer around Newport, PA. She was the smallest, frailest looking one of the bunch--being so, got pushed from the feeder all of the time. My husband picked her so that she had a chance at life and HERE SHE IS! She is growing very well, shaping up better than we expected. We estimate that she is a year old, but not much more than that. She has quite the personality! She will be bred as soon as we can figure out how we're going to go about the whole beef breeding "thing"!
This is MCMF Colleen. She is 1/4 Red Simmental and 3/4 Red Angus. She was born 11/8/06. We purchased her from McClure Mills Farm in Shirleysburg, PA. We would like to Thank MCMF for the opportunity to purchase such a great cow. She's absolutely beautiful. Her sire is Bieber Virile 7038 (who can be seen at: http://www.wwsgermany.net/wws/bulldata/beef/angus/virile.pdf) and dam is PMS Colleen. We purchased Colleen AI bred to Winchester HR P8315 (http://bullbarn.com/simmepd.asp?ID=288 ), which is a Dream On son and full brother to Remington "Red Label". We're new to this, so imagine how excited we were to find out we started with these genetics all by ACCIDENT! Below is the beautiful result!
This is our "little" Nina. She was born 10/26/08. I will get a more current picture on here as soon as I can so you can see how she is growing! She's 2/3 the size of her mommy already! We're very proud of her!
